Job Description:

Conducts and coordinates analysis, design, testing, and documentation of interactive courseware in accordance with Government and corporate process. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Designs and builds interactive courseware for computer and iPad based, instructor-led training including use of eLearning authoring software (Adobe Captivate), virtual classroom, learning management systems, mobile, and video
  2. Works with subject matter experts to obtain training content and includes all phases of instructional design including the analysis, design, and development of computer and iPad based, instructor-led training materials and start to finish project management
  3. Prepares and coordinates Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) reviews and presents technical summaries
  4. Coordinates and executes all action items assigned during reviews
  5. Coordinates with subject matter experts to ensure timely completion of their assigned tasks dictated by their respective milestones
  6. Apply tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods
  7. Adheres to instructional design goals and creates content to meet course and lesson objectives.
  8. Coordinates delivery of all Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items

 

Security Clearance: SECRET (Active) or ability to obtain a SECRET Clearance

Education / Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technologies, Information Technology, Graphic Design or a related program or 3-5 years instructional design experience focused on eLearning and/or multi-media development

Required Skills:

  1. Thorough knowledge and experience generating HTML5 content using Adobe Captivate. The candidate should have deep understanding of the export process and be able to troubleshoot issues that may arise.
  2. The candidate must have a good understanding of how web applications work. Including the ability to generate content using HTML5/CSS/JavaScript
  3. The candidate must have experience testing web applications on multiple browsers for desktop and mobile devices.
  4. Experience utilizing graphic design and animation software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Animate
  5. Demonstrated creativity with experience in visual/multimedia design
  6. Strong written and verbal communication, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task

Preferred, but Not Required Skills:

  1. Intermediate to advanced skill in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery
  2. Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technologies, or a related program
  3. Experience designing instructional content for iPad deployment
  4. Strong computer and database skills (understanding of web browsers and common troubleshooting techniques when users are having web/internet related issues)
  5. Working knowledge of US Air Force or other aviation platforms including flight and weapon system operations and functionality
